À propos de Via Simone Mayr

The palace, which has been renovated in the early nineteenth century on a project by architect Giacomo Bianconi, who connected and raised three buildings dating back to a time prior to 1300, is located in "Upper Bergamo", a few meters from the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Duomo. The prestigious residence overlooks the ancient walls and enjoys a spectacular panoramic view of 360° on the city and on a part of the Po Valley up to the peaks of the Apennines, and in 1987 was declared a building of particular historical and artistic interest, and is under the protection of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.
The body of the building has an "L" shape and is structured on five main levels plus a mezzanine. The main façade is characterized by an elegant entrance dating back to the nineteenth century, with entrance portal in stone and a barrel-vaulted gallery that leads to the cobblestones courtyard, marked by a large recess, covered in false rocks, at the base of which there is a fountain with gush.
From the passable gallery opens a majestic atrium, with a cross vault decorated with heraldic motifs and family coats of arms; from this atrium originates an imposing stone staircase that serves all levels of the house, except for the top floor. The last two ramps are located in a grand setting, with a barrel vault with frescoes by Francesco Jesso, walls entirely decorated with two-colored Venetian stucco and large steps, balustrades, cornices, windowsills in "pietra serena". A large brass lantern hanging from the ceiling illuminates all this environment.
The main floor features reception halls with artistic and architectural proofs dating back to eras even preceding the restructuring, such as frescoed ceilings, stucco bas-reliefs representing mythical, symbolic or naturalistic stylized motifs, rooms decorated in the Empire style, walls covered with satin or canvas painted with exotic naturalistic scenes of eighteenth-century style, Venetian stucco columns decorated like faux marble by Alessandro Ferrari, marble fireplaces and terracotta floors or wooden parquet by Andrea Tizzoni.
Among these works, there are a vault painted in fresco by Domenico Ghislandi in 1600, a hallroom completely decorated in the early 1800s by Vincenzo Bonomini, three lowered barrel vaults painted by Stefano Tirinnanzi, two others decorated by Francesco Jesso in the same epoque and a frescoed ceiling located in the mezzanine, with grotesque and biblical scenes, attributed to Guarinoni and dated 1564.
The building is divided into 8 apartments with surfaces ranging from 80 to 700 sqm, some of which are currently leased.
